#STARCRAFT REMASTERED FORUM PATCH#
But while the Heroes of the Storm devs are pretty responsive, Starcraft Remastered, Starcraft II, and Warcraft III Reforged tend to remain silent beyond patch notes and seem to rely heavily on ESL and Afreeca for guidance.

I also believe there is a serious effort going into new team game maps as well, though I know much less about this.Ĭontrary to some reports, Classic Games is still a thing. So yes, maps are coming, I know it's taken forever but it's better to be patient that complain and be negative because that only deters new people from joining the community. Even map names have to be approved before Blizzard can upload them as official ladder maps. I know people like to meme about the intern updating SC2, but there is a process to getting maps properly approved, looked into, checked etc that goes through more than just the SC2 team. We have never seen maps go from TLMC into the ladder in 2 months before, so its unrealistic to expect the process to speed up. TLMC wrapped up 2 months ago and unfortunately it didn't line up well with a new season etc, and unfortunately the DreamHack seasons have all fallen in this time frame where missing a TLMC has had a large effect. Missing that cycle of new maps meant we had to take even more maps from the previous TLMC, and we are still seeing the repurcussions of it. The problem is when we missed a TLMC in February, the entire system for introducing new maps to the ladder map pool fell apart.

Real talk about SC2 maps : they are in the process. It only takes a minute, and you can login using the same login used in the launcher. The more views/likes/comments the posts get, the more chance there is that we will actually get some feedback and even possibly an update. View/Like/Comment on the forum posts via the links below! Note there is still a team that works on the game and is in charge of itĪs was pointed out in my original post, I didn't quite make it clear what I meant by 'support the effort' (admittedly, I didn't quite know at the time either), so here is my suggestion on how we can try and make ourselves heard: You did the right thing by posting on the General forums this is the only way to provide feedback to our developers While our developers may not reply to your ideas, they watch the forums for constructive feedback, suggestions, and popular topics If you have any feedback or suggestions you can submit them on our community forums, which I can see you already have.

This means that someone is listening - but only as long as we are loud enough about it.Īlong with creating the forum posts below, I also submitted a Technical Issues ticket to Blizzard (I was quickly advised by support that this was not how the tickets are supposed to be used, but again, it's all about creating noise), and while the response wasn't great, they did say the following things: Recently Starcraft Remastered suffered from the floating SCV bug, which, while it went unanswered for several weeks, was eventually patched. Sorry for the second post, but it would be good if as a community we can do our best to try and get a response out of Blizzard for the Starcraft games and the updates they both dearly deserve.
